The school basketball team was set up in 2017 to offer more sports CCA options to our students. Our all boys’ team comprises of students from the P2 to P6 cohort. We offer Modular Basketball and Excellence Basketball.

Modular Basketball

The 7-week programme offers participants the opportunity to learn the basic skills and rules to have an appreciation of how the game is being played. Ball handling drills, basic concept of attacking and defending and rules of a half-court 3 v 3 game will be covered.

Participants may be shortlisted to represent the school in the non-competitive N1 Sports Carnival Basketball Friendly Match. Male students who demonstrate potential and shows interest may be invited to join the Excellence wing.

Excellence Basketball (for boys only)

The Excellence programme provides training to adequately equip our members with the necessary skills and knowledge of the game to compete at the Zonal and National Level in the annual National Schools Games (NSG).

There are 3 teams in the Excellence wing - Seniors, Juniors and Rookies. Students (in the Seniors and Juniors team) who are committed and consistent in their progression will be shortlisted to represent the school to take part in the National Schools Games.

Membership in this team is mainly through trial and invitation.
