School Day, Attendance & Dismissal
What time should my child arrive at school?
Students should report to school by 7.25 a.m. Flag-raising and pledge-taking begin at 7.30 a.m., so students should arrive early enough to settle down and be ready for the school day.
Parents who drive their children to school should use the designated drop-off area and follow the school's traffic arrangements and directions from staff on duty.
What should I do if my child is absent?
If your child is absent from school, please provide a medical certificate (MC) or a letter from the parent/guardian when your child returns to school.
If your child is unwell, please allow them to rest and recover before returning to school.
If your child misses a formal assessment because of illness, different assessment procedures may apply. Please refer to the Assessment Information page for the relevant requirements.
Where do I pick up my child after school?
Normal school dismissal is at 1.30 p.m.
Parents and caregivers should use the designated pick-up arrangements for their child's dismissal. Parents driving into the school may enter only after the school buses have departed, according to the prevailing school traffic arrangements.
Please visit our School Day & Getting Here page, for the latest information on pick-up points, vehicle access and dismissal arrangements.
What happens after CCA?
CCA timings vary, and students are informed of their specific schedules separately.

How can my child access SLS?

During school operating hours, SLS access matters such as password resets, locked accounts and lesson-assignment queries can be directed to the school-based support channel.

View the school's SLS FAQ page for account recovery instructions, if your child has forgotten their username or password.

What financial assistance is available?
Singapore Citizen students from eligible households may apply for the MOE Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS). The school's current page lists assistance including waiver of miscellaneous fees, free textbooks and school attire, transport support and meal subsidies, subject to the prevailing eligibility requirements.
Communication & Support
How do I contact my child's teacher?
Parents who would like to discuss their child's learning, progress or well-being should contact the child's Form Teacher or relevant Subject Teacher.
North Vista's current guidance allows parents to arrange an appointment with teachers. The school encourages appointments outside curriculum time to minimise disruption to lessons and asks parents not to expect teacher responses after 5.30 p.m. on weekdays or during weekends.
How do I update my contact details?
Please ensure that your contact details are kept up to date via the Parent Gateway(PG) app so that the school can reach you when necessary.
For assistance with updating your registered contact information, please contact the General Office at 6484 3566, and its general email is nvtps@moe.edu.sg.
Who should I contact if my child needs support?
For concerns about your child's learning, friendships, behaviour or general well-being, the Form Teacher should normally be the parent's first point of contact. The teacher can discuss the concern with you and help connect your child to the appropriate school support where necessary.
For general enquiries or where you are unsure whom to approach, contact the school at 6484 3566 or nvtps@moe.edu.sg.
