Key Programmes

1. Financial Literacy Programme

Programme is meaningfully infused within the curriculum to raise students' awareness of needs and wants and the importance of savings etc. Through financial literacy education, we strive to inculcate responsible decision making and encourage the development of good habits in financial matters from an early age.

2. Math is Fun Programme

Programme provides an open and unstructured space for our students to learn through play, heightening the joy of learning in our students.

3. Math Trails

Programme brings students out of their classrooms to allow them to acquire deeper understanding, relevance and appreciation of the Math concepts and skills learnt through meaningful applications in an authentic environment.

4. Learning Support for Mathematics (LSM)

Programme is designed for Primary 1 and 2 students who need extra support in acquiring basic numeracy skills.

5. Improving Confidence and Achievement in Numeracy (ICAN)

Programme is a collaboration between schools and MOE which equips teachers with strategies to better support students. The lessons follow the FREMC structure – Factual Fluency, Readiness, Engagement, Mastery and Consolidation.

6. Math Olympiad Programme

Programme is designed to enrich selected P4 to P6 students who are keen to participate in Mathematics Olympiad Competitions such as Singapore and Asian Schools Math Olympiad (SASMO), Singapore Mathematical Olympiad for Primary Schools (SMOPS), National Mathematical Olympiad Singapore (NMOS) and Mathlympics.

7. Excellence 2000 (E2K) Math

Piloted by MOE’s Gifted Education branch, the E2K Programme is a Mathematics enrichment programme for upper primary high-progress students who demonstrate interest and ability in Mathematics. It aims to foster independence in mathematical thinking skills, as well as nurture other important 21st century competencies such as resilience and resourcefulness, critical and inventive thinking, and effective communication skills. In North Vista Primary School, selected students from P4-P6 levels participate in this programme every year.
